Kelsey Charlotte is a dancer/choreographer based in Minneapolis. She received her BA in Dance from Gustavus Adolphus College.
Throughout her time at Gustavus her choreography has been performed at ACDFA as well as performing in the ACDFA Gala Performance and a performance invitation to the Kennedy Center. Kelsey attended Accademia dell’ arte, a performing arts conservatory in Arezzo, Italia. Who she now works as a recruiter for the undergraduate dance program. She studied ballet while living in Berlin and theatrical mask work working with Family Floz. She has worked with artists across Europe and the States including Stephan Koplowitz, Mark Allen, Girorgio Rossi, Rita Petrone , Ashai Lombardo Arop, Philip Flickinger and Heather Klophchin.
She has worked with D.I.G / Dancers Investigation Group in Sacramento, California with many Diavolo dancers and choreographers. Current work includes teaching at Zenon youth program, Stage Left Dance Company, East Ridge High School, and setting work at Lyric Arts.
Kelsey currently dances with Christopher Watson Dance Company. SEVEN DANCE, which she co-founded in 2014, as a contemporary-modern dance company exploring movement with many ballet professionals. Kelsey is a company member of STRONGmovement, directed by Darrius Strong. STRONG physically and musically embodies identity. The StarTribune referred to the work as “investigating intimacy, competition and the struggle of human connection.”
Kelsey is ABT curriculum certified (attending the American Ballet Theatre ballet teacher certification training every two years).
