Lindsey Rebecca
Born & raised in Minnesota, Lindsey Rebecca traded in gymnastics for dance, training at many studios around the Twin Cities, including Northland, in ballet, jazz, tap & lyrical until lettering in her high school dance team.
Continuing to pursue her love of dance, she became an assistant director of a nonprofit dance ensemble throughout college.
No stranger to competition or performing, Lindsey Rebecca danced for the Super Bowl XXVI halftime show with Gloria Estefan. Since then, Lindsey Rebecca has found a new love for dance in Ballroom and Latin dancing. Instructing ballroom since 2005, she finds the technical & competitive nature of ballroom dancing captures her passion and fuels her drive to spread her love of dance to all.
Lindsey Rebecca has trained with the undefeated three times US American Smooth Champions Michael Mead & Toni Redpath, now a judge on So You Think You Can Dance. She has worked under three times US American Smooth Champion David Hamilton for his studio – Dance World of Nashville after relocating for a professional ballroom partner and obtaining a coveted dress sponsorship. Lindsey Rebecca has had the privilege to work one on one with two time US American Smooth Champion and US Nine Dance Champion, Ben Ermis leading her to place third in the Professional American Smooth Rising Star Division at Colorado Star Ball, as well as second at Twin Cities Open 2009. Moreover, she & her partner were finalists in the Professional American Smooth Open Divisions as well.
After training and teaching in Nashville, Connecticut & New York, with Champions like Nick Kosovich & Jonathan Roberts from DWTS, she has returned home to Minnesota where it all began. Now teaching group classes, wedding couples, private lessons and building a competitive student base in the Twin Cities & surrounding areas, she continues to train & compete around the country.
