Many think a dancers costume isn’t complete without rhinestones…wrong it needs confidence! Every dancers dream is to shine on stage while performing their routine they practiced day and night!
Dancers need to feel comfortable in there costume; emotionally comfortable and physically comfortable. The mobility of a costume is important when dealing with movements and choreography, and especially the way a dancer feels when wearing it. If they feel embarrassed or say it’s not going to work, listen to them.
For creators and choreographers a costume is the cherry on top! it is what brings the routine and vision together. Sometimes the costume can be interactive in the dance routine!
At Northland we have an amazing costume team! They exceed expectations every year! They spend hours sewing and rhinestoning looking for final touches to make everything POP on stage. We are so thankful for their dedication to our dancers.
