Chris Muras started his career in coaching gymnastics in 2010. He walked into the KidSport Gymnastics in Winona, MN wanting to learn a few tricks. While attending Winona State, Chris learned to spot and coach at KidSport alongside Rob Murray. Throughout the 3.5 years at KidSports Chris learned a lot about the sport of gymnastics and what it takes to be a successful gymnast. He’s worked at Hamline University for two years, head coaching the Xcel team and assisting Doug Byrnes with the college team. 6 years later Chris found himself running his own Gymnastics gym out of East Ridge High School in Woodbury, MN. Chris has worked with kids of all ages and abilities from pre-school to college-aged athletes, and has been a part of many successes. He has won two consecutive section 3AA titles, taking his team to state the last two years. This last year Chris and his team won 3rd in State with two of his athletes becoming State Champions. Chris hopes to use his knowledge of gymnastics in teaching Northland dancers the acro to use in their performances.
