Ellie Carlson

Ellie Carlson Instructor Northland School of Dance
Ellie grew up dancing at Metropolitan Dance Alliance. She studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theater. Her love for ballet started at 8 years old under the direction of Cathy Christenson and began studying pointe at the age of 12. During her training under Cathy, she participated in the Nutcracker Ballet, holding the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara, and the Snow Queen. While dancing competitively, she has earned many overall placements, titles, and scholarships, such as Nuvo, Jump, ADE, Intrigue, and NYCDA, including summer scholarships from the Joffrey Ballet. Ellie is still dancing today at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Ellie works with competitive dancers of all ages in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, ballet tech, and KJT. She believes in helping all dancers reach their full potential through training and building their self-worth. It is her hope that every dancer who leaves her class has respect for ballet and a love for the artistry of dance in all styles they experience.
