Maya Giron is originally from Paris, France. She moved to the United States in 2011. That same year, she started her dance training. Joining Ballet Royale Minnesota, she progressed through the levels of the school to become an apprentice with the company, Twin Cities Ballet, in 2017. While with Twin Cities Ballet, she performed the lead role of Clara in the Nutcracker twice and competed at YAGP. Maya attended summer programs at Brussels International Ballet School as well as Kaatsbaan, an intensive program that was under the direction of former ABT principal Stella Abrera. In the summer of her junior year in high school, she attended Tulsa Ballet’s summer intensive program and received a scholarship to their trainee program for the fall. There she was given the opportunity to perform with the company in the ballet Dracula. Maya finished out her training in Oklahoma as a trainee. Over the years, Maya has had ambassadorships with Russian Pointe, Yumiko, and several other dancewear brands.
