Introducing Mikayla Klein, Northland School of Dance alumna!
Mikayla graduated from Northland School of Dance in 2015 and went on to study at University of St. Thomas. After graduation she received her Pilates Certification at Paragon Pilates.
Mikayla now dances as a company member for EMERGE125 based out of NYC! She graduated from the pre-professional program at TU dance and was an apprentice with EMERGE125 beginning in 2019 before her promotion to Company Dancer.

Mikayla Klein (Company Dancer) is from Saint Paul, Minnesota. She began her 12 year studio career at age 4, training in a variety of styles at Northland School of Dance under the direction of Teresa Rolf and Corrie Rolf-Dunn. In high school, she attended the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists where she expanded her training to include Modern and West African dance and studied under Abdo Saygeh, Kaleena Miller, Ricci Milan, and Maggie Bergeron, with performances at The Barbara Baker Center for Dance, O’Shaughnessy Auditorium, and the Rarig Center. Attending summer intensives through the American Ballet Theater, Minnesota Dance Theater, TU Dance, Black Label Movement, The Collective, and New York City Dance Alliance Nationals, expanded her training with Wes Chapman, Lise Houlton, Carl Flink, Joe Lanteri, Suzi Taylor, Joey Dowling, Mia Michaels, and Travis Wall; including performances at The Beacon Theater and the Skirball Center. While attending the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, Mikayla completed Pilates Teacher Training with Paragon Pilates. She taught Pilates and Dance at several studios in Minnesota. While in college, she trained with the TU Dance Pre-Professional Program under the direction of Toni Pierce Sands and Uri Sands. She received scholarships from the New York City Dance Alliance Foundation to the Contemporary Masters Summer Study at Steps On Broadway where she studied under Elisa Monte, Tiffany Rea Fisher, Jennifer Mueller, and Dwight Rhoden and was awarded a full scholarship to Elisa Monte Dance’s 1st Summer Series (EMDSS). Since 2017 Mikayla has been fortunate to be a part of the EMD family, attending EMDSS on full scholarship from 2017-2019. After graduating from St. Thomas Cum Laude with a BS in Exercise Science, Mikayla moved to NYC to begin her apprenticeship with EMD. It is with great excitement and gratitude that she begins her first season with EMERGE125 (formerly Elisa Monte Dance) as a company dancer.
