Michaela received her training at the Gelsey Kirkland Ballet Academy in New York City. The syllabus consisted on traditional Vaganova technique, pointe, core dynamics, classical repertoire, pas de deux, character dance, music, and acting.
She also studied Rhythmic Gymnastics with Jessica Howard, a three time National Championship winner for the United States Olympic team.
Michaela attended both the American Ballet Theatre of NYC and Bolshoi Ballet of Russia’s summer intensives. She is a recipient of a gold medal at the LIBC and was inducted into the National Society of Dance Arts.
Michaela is currently a Principal dancer with Continental Ballet Company. She has also danced with Gelsey Kirkland Ballet, Twin Cities Ballet and Ballet Minnesota. Michaela received her teaching certification from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy of Russia and is a certified Progressive Ballet Technique instructor. She’s coached for the Youth of America Grand Prix with two of her students placing in the finals. Her teaching style is rooted in classical ballet with an emphasis on wellness.
